Ellen

Process
Ellen immerses herself in the material she uses, letting her intuition serve as a guiding force throughout her creative process, allowing for a collaborative effort between herself and the clay. She takes away valuable lessons from each piece creating as taking risks is forefront within her practice. Her art reflects a deep engagement with her Swedish and queer heritage, showcasing her unique perspective and creative vision.
Ellen finds solace in the cyclical process of revisiting and reworking familiar themes. She invites her subconscious to take the reins, weaving together threads of her memory, experience, and imagination to create a rich tapestry of meaning. In this way the past informs the present and pushes her forward.
